The Wetzel County Sheriff’s Office reports an accident involving two males resulted in no serious injuries. On Sept. 21 in the morning hours a pick-up truck with two male occupants was driving on Fallen Timber Road when the vehicle left the roadway, hit the hillside, bounced back across the road, hit a utility pole, and then rolled down the embankment. The two males whose age and names were not available were taken to Wetzel County Hospital for treatment of lacerations to the head and arms. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

In a separate incident on Sept. 20 a brown pick-up truck was stolen in Reader. Reportedly the owner of the vehicle hid his keys somewhere in the truck, but the thief found them and drove the vehicle away. The vehicle was recovered, unoccupied, three hours later. Sgt. John Brookover of the Wetzel County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the investigation.
