According to Wetzel Sheriff James Hoskins two men from Bridgeport, W.Va., have been arrested on drug related charges. At approximately 4 p.m. on Monday Wetzel County Sheriffs Department Cpl. Mike Koontz stopped a red truck near the intersection of W.Va. 2 and Foundry Street in New Martinsville for driving erratically. Assisting in the traffic stop was Chief Deputy Rob Haught who was given permission to execute a search of the vehicle by the driver.

According to Hoskins the passenger of the vehicle was charged with possession of a controlled substance, morphine, and the driver was charged with possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana and no proof of insurance.

Other charges may be made pending further investigation.
