Two men were injured in a two vehicle accident that occurred on Jan. 4 on Cider Run Road.

According to Wetzel Sheriff James B. Hoskins at approximately 3 p.m. on Friday a small pickup truck and a heavy-duty dump truck collided about 100 yards up Cider Run Road from W.Va. 180.

The legs of the driver of the smaller truck were pinned in the crash which required extrication by the New Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department, assisted by the Paden City VFD.

The victim was transported to Morgantown via HealthNet Emergency helicopter from a landing position at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ on W.Va. 180.

The names and condition of men is not being released. The incident is being investigated by Wetzel Chief Deputy Rob Haught.
